Ipsy Glam Bag March 2016

Marc Anthony Nourishing Argan Oil of Morocco 3 Day Smooth Perfect Blow Dry Cream:

Anyone who knows me knows that I love anything to do with having healthier hair. When I saw that I was getting a Marc Anthony product, I was extremely excited. I have wanted to try a product by them for quite some time, but I have never been able to afford it. I blow dry my hair a lot, even though I know it’s horrible for your hair, so the fact that it was a blow dry cream made it even better.

I used the Blow Dry Cream the day after I got my bag. The instructions on the tube aren’t extremely clear, so I sort of made up my own routine of flipping my head upside down and rubbing it into my hair, then flipping my head back up and putting my hair to each side to make sure the cream got everywhere. Afterwards I combed my hair with a wet hair comb to even it out without damaging my hair too much.

On the first day my hair was noticeably softer, and every consecutive time that I uses the cream it got even softer. Marc Anthony, you amaze me. I will definitely by buying this product once I run out.

Vera Mona Lotus Eyeshadow in Clover:

I don’t have much to say about this product other than the eyeshadow itself is good quality, and comes in a small enough package to be easily transported for reapplication if needed. I personally don’t like the colour, it’s just too pink for me.

Pixi by Petra Beauty Blush Duo in Rose Gold:

I have mixed feelings about this blush. I like that it’s two colours, because it highlights and adds a blush colour at the same time, which is great. I no longer have to chose between highlighting or blush. The problem is that the pink in the blush isn’t very bright, like at all. I have to apply an extremely thick layer before I see any results of the pink, but by then my cheeks are all shiny from the gold.

NYX Cosmetics Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick:

Okay, this lipstick is both fantastic and awful at the same time. Personally, the colour is not for me. I got the vibrant red colour, like the reddest red there ever was, but that’s not the problem. The problem is that this lipstick does not come off. That can be both good and bad. No reapplying throughout the day, don’t have to worry about eating, drinking, kissing, or whatever else might rub off a normal lipstick. But, if you want to be able to take it off at night or not have any left over the next day, for the entire day, this lipstick is not for you. I applied it, didn’t like it, tried to take it off, and was stuck with it for the entirety of the next day.

Me me me Loose Powder Brush:

This brush is a little too solid to actually blend anything. I used it for my loose powder (duh) and I didn’t really like it. I could hardly see a difference after applying it, so it doesn’t work that great. It’s small enough to carry around without taking up much space like my other brushes, but it’s just not good enough to actually use.

Also, here’s my main problem with ipsy: there’s a style quiz you take in which you select the types of things that you want, however you can’t select the things that you don’t want. I do not have it selected that I want makeup brushes, however I have received a brush every single month except one. You can review you products you’ve received, and state that you don’t want any more items like that, and I do that every time. Yet, I manage to get a brush, every. time.
